How Warm Introductions turns Attendee Hub recommendations into conversations

The best networking moments at an event rarely happen by accident. They happen when the right people find each other, understand why a connection could be valuable, and feel confident taking the first step.

That last step can be the hardest one.

Attendees may see a relevant profile and still hesitate to send a message. They may not know how to open the conversation, or they may worry that a cold introduction will feel awkward or generic. When that hesitation wins, a promising match stays just that: a match on a screen.

Warm Introductions is designed to help event planners close that gap. Built on the AI-powered recommendations in Network Builder, it gives attendees a guided way to move from discovering the right person to starting a 1:1 conversation.

How Warm Introductions works in Attendee Hub

Warm Introductions fits into the networking experience attendees already use in Attendee Hub. It builds on the same context that helps Network Builder recommend relevant people, then adds a clear next step.

Attendees discover a relevant connection

Network Builder helps attendees find people who may align with their interests, goals, and event experience. Each recommendation includes context about why the match may be worth exploring, giving attendees more than a name and a job title to consider.

That context can give attendees a clearer reason to reach out and help them decide which connections are worth pursuing.

They choose “Introduce me”

When an attendee finds someone they would like to meet, they can select the “Introduce me” action on the eligible recommended attendee’s profile card.

The Event Assistant then creates a personalized introduction based on the shared interests or goals that made the connection relevant in the first place.

They review the message before it is sent

AI can help with the first draft, but the attendee stays in control. Before anything is sent, they can review the exact introduction the Event Assistant plans to share and confirm whether they want to proceed.

That review step keeps the experience transparent. It gives attendees the final say over every introduction they initiate and makes the role of AI clear: helping create the opening, not making the decision for them.

The Event Assistant starts the conversation

Once the attendee confirms, the introduction appears in a 1:1 conversation between the two attendees from the Event Assistant. The recipient receives a primary alert that takes them directly to the conversation, where they can reply and continue the exchange.

The attendee chooses the connection. The Event Assistant helps make the opening feel natural. Both people get a clear place to continue the conversation.

Why Warm Introductions matters for event networking

It connects recommendation with action

Personalized recommendations create more value when attendees have a clear way to act on them. Warm Introductions adds momentum at the point where many networking journeys slow down: the first message.

For planners, that means the networking experience can do more than surface relevant people. It can help attendees take a meaningful next step while they are already engaged in the event app.

It makes the first message more relevant

A generic message asks the recipient to figure out why the connection matters. A contextual introduction gives both attendees a starting point.

Because the introduction is grounded in the reason behind the recommendation, the opening conversation can feel more relevant from the start. Attendees can move more quickly from “Why was I matched with this person?” to “What do we have in common?”

It supports different networking styles

Some attendees arrive ready to meet everyone in the room. Others need more context and confidence before they reach out. A strong event networking strategy should support both.

Warm Introductions gives attendees another path to connection: one that preserves choice while reducing the pressure of making the first move. It is designed for attendees who want to network intentionally without having to write every opening message from scratch.

It helps planners build a connected attendee journey

Networking is not a single feature. It is a journey that starts with discovery and continues through messaging, meetings, shared interests, and follow-up.

Warm Introductions strengthens the link between those moments. It builds on Network Builder recommendations and carries the attendee directly into a conversation, connecting discovery and messaging in one flow.

What planners need to know

Warm Introductions is designed to build on the tools planners already use. Network Builder recommendations must be configured and functioning, and Attendee Hub messaging must be enabled for the introduction to open a 1:1 conversation.

The experience also respects existing attendee visibility settings. Only eligible recommended attendees can receive the “Introduce me” action, and attendees who have chosen to keep their profile hidden may need to make it visible before sending an introduction.

For planners, the goal is a focused networking experience that is easier to support: recommendations identify relevant people, Warm Introductions helps attendees make the first move, and messaging gives both attendees a place to continue the conversation.

A better first step can shape the networking experience

For attendees, the value of Warm Introductions is straightforward: finding someone relevant is only the beginning. The feature helps make the next move more informed and more personal while keeping the attendee in control.

For planners, it is a way to design networking around action. When attendees understand why a connection matters and have a clear way to start the conversation, the event creates more opportunities for meaningful engagement.

The strongest event networking strategies give attendees the context, choice, and momentum to make the most of the people they came to meet.

Warm Introductions is built to help make that happen.

Build a stronger networking strategy

Look at your event’s networking journey from discovery through follow-up. When recommendations, messaging, and attendee engagement work together in Attendee Hub, every relevant match has a clearer path toward conversation.

Warm Introductions is an upcoming capability. Availability and timing are subject to change as the feature rolls out.
