    How do you delete and archive Premium Surveys?

    Unlike Basic Surveys, Premium ones have status "Active" as soon as they are created. Through the UI, there doesn't appear to be an option to delete or archive.

    Hi Jamie,

    Here's some information that will be helpful in understanding how survey functions: 

    • If it is a standalone survey and not launched (aka draft status) - it can be deleted
    • If it is standalone and launched - can't be deleted, only closed
    • If it is linked with an active event - the survey will be auto launched and no way to stop that action so it can't be deleted so the planner will only be able to go into the survey designer and click the gear icon to toggle the survey availability
    • If it is linked with a pending event - the survey will be in pending status and it can be unlinked from the event, but it can't be deleted

    Hi Shaifali,

    Regarding these 2 bullets:

    • If it is linked with an active event - the survey will be auto launched and no way to stop that action so it can't be deleted so the planner will only be able to go into the survey designer and click the gear icon to toggle the survey availability
    • If it is linked with a pending event - the survey will be in pending status and it can be unlinked from the event, but it can't be deleted

    Does this apply to Premium Surveys and not only standalone?

    I just created a new Premium Survey using these steps:

    1. From Admin > Surveys, click Create Survey
    2. For Survey Type, choose Event Survey (An event premium survey…)
    3. For Create Survey, choose Start Fresh

    The result is an active survey, with no linked event, that I cannot seem to archive or delete.

    Hi Jamie,

    Apologies for any confusion. 

    That is for standalone survey only. 

    Currently, we do not have a way to delete or archive Premium Surveys. 

    I understand your perspective and apologize for any inconvenience. But, it sounds like a great feedback. I suggest you to post this as an Idea/feedback for our product team by going to Cvent Community > Participate > Product Ideas.
