Is there a way to ensure that these AI tools can understand and communicate on brand for our organization? Probably the most frustrating piece I have observed with AI is that it doesn't communicate on brand and the amount of editing required doesn't help from an efficiency standpoint.

Hi Lindsay!  Getting AI tools to sound like your organization is definitely a challenge with out of the box large language models.  We're currently exploring on a new tone & style feature to help with this.

The idea is that the feature would let you share existing content from past events and documents to better understand sentence structure, word choice, grammar, and more.  We're also looking at upgrading some of the language models to newer versions that are known to have improved quality of writing for prose.

We'll be discussing this further at Cvent Connect!

Here is my question for the AI team:

I would like an AI agent to help attendees build their schedule. Does cvent have an agent that will:

Can the AI agent read my registration data and access my public linkedin profile? Based on this this info, can the agent ask me some questions about my interests/purpose for attended the event? it should be ale to generate a  recommended a schedule for me at the event.  It would be great if it could explain (if asked) why it made the individual  session suggestions and allow me to give feedback? this feedback would help the agent refine my session selections.

Hi Jon - great question!  We are actively exploring and designing an AI-based agenda builder within the Attendee Hub experience.

Our current design is centered around free time on attendees' personal schedules - attendees will be able to see sessions specific to that time window that are personally recommended based on profile details, such as demographics, recent activity, and interests.  We are also then planning to inform the attendee why certain sessions are recommended and even allow them to refine the recommendations in real-time.

We'll be discussing this further at Cvent Connect if you'd like to hear more!

    Hi David,

Our current AI solutions in development and discovery are on the Event Website helping visitors decide to register by gaining access to information faster, in Attendee Hub helping attendees network, and navigate sessions, etc. to enhance and personalize their experience, and planner-side to help you do your job more seamlessly using Writing Assistants, Modification Assistants, and more!

While we haven't yet implemented an in-registration process version of an assistant, we are always eager to hear how you would like to see something like this assist your attendees as they're registering. Please feel free to add more of your thoughts to ideation so we can review when discovery kicks off for that area!

    Hi Virginia,

We are also interested in solutions that assist you in event management! We have several already in development, and a few in discovery (given there are several different ways to go about them). This - Event Website creation - is the perfect example of one in discovery that our architects are hard at work finding the right solution before we are hands on keyboard in development. Once we have a timeline we'll be sure to update the roadmap!

In the meantime, the aspects we are actively developing will help you generate content, respond to registration changes and modifications, interpret insights, and more! Hopefully you're attending Connect where we'll dig into all of the details, but if not, feel free to peruse the roadmap https://release.cvent.com/eventmanagement.

    Hi Kate,

Late last year we released an upgrade to the Writing Assistant to help with scenarios just like this! If you scroll down on the linked release note, you'll see that in version 2 we've added event context, and even provided a more conversational interaction so that you can continue to tailor the content as needed if you'd like to make tone adjustments.

Using this tool will also allow for standard data tags to also populate to save you time in the future with repeatable events where you copy or utilize templates so that you don't have to update the content all the time!

Give it a try and look out for even more help in the future as we continue discovery in the email specific feature space.

Cvent has highlighted several AI-driven personalization features, from attendee recommendations to tailored content and networking suggestions. Beyond the technological capability, how is Cvent measuring the actual impact of these AI-powered personalization efforts on attendee engagement and satisfaction? Furthermore, what strategies are in place to ensure this personalization enhances, rather than detracts from, the authentic human connection and serendipitous discovery that are often key to a memorable event experience?

Hi Chris - excellent question.  I'll answer your second question first, which is that when we are designing and building these features within the Attendee Hub experience, our goal is very explicitly to complement the onsite, event experience rather than detract from it.  So we have KPIs that we regularly track that are both feature specific as well as more generic to the platform.  So while these vary, across the board, we actively avoid vanity metrics such as 'time spent in-app' since they are not commensurate with our goals of increasing attendee engagement.

One example of this is pairing AI-based features with other functionality that helps to facilitate in-person connections.  We are currently working on enhancing our attendee recommendations to gain more insight based on attendee activity (both in-app and onsite) as well as demographics and interests.  However, this is paired with a feature that allows for onsite badge scanning to facilitate connections and provide the ability to share personal contact information, should the attendee want.

On recommendations specifically, we will be measuring how attendees interact with these results.  For example, attendees can give feedback on recommendations (and the reasoning behind them) and refine those results, very similar to what we see in popular apps - 2 very important measurements we can use to detect usefulness.  We'll also be measuring how often these recommendations lead to "conversions" for that item - i.e. are attendees enrolling in a recommended session.

We'll be discussing all of this at Cvent Connect and would love to connect to learn more about how you would like to leverage this technology.

Hi Madison, AI is moving quickly and we're assessing many new safety frameworks, but here are a few things to know:

    1. We don't use customer data to train any public language models. We process the data through trusted 3rd parties, but do not persist any data in systems outside of Cvent's.
    2. You can opt-out of individual AI features at your account level if you'd like. For attendees, they are shown indicators when generative AI features are used and aren't required to use them at any point.

    Christopher,

I love this question!! We love hearing specific ways in which you know AI could help you do your job more effectively. Currently, we have teams hard at work on Cross-Event insights which we'll be digging into at Connect this year in our roadmap sessions, but beyond that - we also are in discovery on what I like to call "Promotional Jobs to Be Done" which generally is the convergence of what your promotional options are and how to see what's most effective. Those two projects together overlap in the data space, and we are exploring all options and opportunities for how best to present this data - including AI solutions.

When we have more specifics about what insights look like for this specifically, we'll be sure to update the roadmap area of the Community for both Reporting & Insights and Event Platform.

Hi Katie, we're super excited about AI here at Cvent and as you hinted at, things are changing rapidly. Massive new improvements, models, and tools are being released weekly at this point.

Over the next 6-12 months we'll be releasing dozens of new AI features to help solve event needs with focus on a few key themes: efficiency, personalization, insights, and collaboration. We want to help our event organizers save time in their day to day work, but also create more engaging experiences for attendees.

On a longer time frame we are exploring more advanced AI workflows, chatbots, and agents to more seamlessly group together typical daily tasks. We also plan to continue using AI to learn more about attendees by building more persistent profiles to create better recommendations and personalized experiences.

Overall though we are always focused on solving problems for both our customers and attendees - not just using AI for the sake of using AI.

    Hi Denise,

We are implementing AI solutions on the user side for Registration Managers and Planners to utilize to interpret insights, and do their jobs faster and more efficiently, and attendee facing on the Event Website to help visitors navigate the website and make a decision to register faster and in Attendee Hub to help them network and make Agenda choices among other things! So in short, we're exploring AI everywhere it can be useful!

I recommend taking a look at the roadmap  to see the areas that apply to you (for example: https://release.cvent.com/eventmanagement/board/planner-assistant-ai-chatbot-for-attendee-modification) and if you're joining us at Connect you'll hear all about it there as well!

Hi Sarah - this is a really great question.  We are actively working to enhance our recommendations across the platform with AI-powered insights and inferences, focusing primarily on the recommendation of Sessions, Exhibitors, & Attendees.  We are also working to surface these recommendations up in more contextual locations, and allow attendees to refine results based on preset preferences - most of which will be seen in the Attendee Hub experience.

To your question, recommendations can be quite subjective, so in addition to our own performance testing metrics, we will be measuring how attendees interact with these recommendations.

    Hi Sarah,

Accuracy and reliability for AI generated output is definitely one of the biggest challenges when using generative AI today. While it will never be perfect, here are a few things we do to help the experience:

    1. Whenever possible, we always try to let our event organizers review the generated content before saving/publishing to attendees. For example, our writing assistant offers a preview of content for event/session/webinar/etc descriptions, as well as in the AI social media marketing tool that recently released. When generating video captions, those can all also be edited and approved before going live.
    2. We use some lightweight prompt engineering to help guide the language models to stay on point and to work in the context of the feature it's working with.
    3. We regularly upgrade our language models to newer versions that help with accuracy as they improve over time. We also use better models in places where accuracy is more important.
    4. For things like recommendations, we do a/b type testing to look at conversion rates for matchmaking to make sure that new rollouts improve the experience for attendees

Hi Chris, great question.  We have a number of Attendee Hub-specific features that we're currently designing and developing, as well as AI-based features that will span across the platform, regardless of what product you are utilizing.

Specific to Attendee Hub, we are currently working on a number of attendee-facing features such as AI Daily Summaries, the Attendee Assistant, & Session Snapshots.  On the admin side, we are actively exploring where we can implement AI-powered features that will help to streamline labor-intensive processes.  We'd love to hear more about where you feel like you are spending your time currently in the tool where we can help save you time.

You can hear more about these features at Cvent Connect as well as by visiting our Product News Roadmap and filtering by 'Attendee Hub'.

I'd be interested in hearing about AI with sourcing. Are you looking into any options that utilize the AI in the sourcing tool Reposite in the overall CSN to answer questions about all sourcing activity?

    Hi Amy -

We are exploring a number of different AI features within both our CSN and Vendor Marketplace powered by Reposite. For our Cvent Supplier Network, we have recently released our AI agenda builder to help build your agenda in your RFP.  Additionally, we are exploring using AI in our venue search functionality allowing you to use your own natural language to filter down venues based on your criteria. We are also exploring helping answer questions within an RFP similar to Reposite's functionality. Keep an eye on roadmap and the release notes for more information on all of these.

I'd love to know if AI can talk to my client first to understand their tone, needs, and personality, then sending me their responses to RFP, Event details etc, so I can better understand them from step 1.

What security protocols are build around the AI? Our biggest client concern is how their data is protected with AI feature taking over. Would there be an opt-out for attendees that do not feel comfortable with AI tools using their data?

    Hi Gina,

AI is moving quickly and we're assessing many new safety frameworks, but here are a few things to know:

    Thanks!

How is Cvent using AI to personalize the attendee experience in real time, and what kinds of insights can planners expect to gain from these interactions?

    Hi James,

Good question - we're looking at a lot of new ways to better personalize the attendee experience at live events.

We're looking at ways to collect as many interests about attendees as possible. For example, during Attendee Hub onboarding you can ask their professional interests. We're also working on a project to discover interests about attendees based on their event activities such as session registration, exhibitor visits, keyword searches, and more.

We plan to use these interests to help with session recommendations, attendee matchmaking, and eventually more content personalization as well. We will persist these interests at the contact level so at future events personalization will be even stronger.

Another cool feature we are working on involves letting attendee capture "snapshots" during a live session for deep insights into what your audience is most interested in which we can later analyze.
