Hi Gary,
Thank you for your question! Yes and no, if you open the submission, hit the edit and then go to the Author tab you will be able to update the Author Information.
The no part is that the Author email cannot be update but the other details can be. A second option would be to add them as a Co-Author and then when approving the submission and making it a session, you do not have to include any Authors or Co-Authors that are no longer being included in the session

Subject: Change Lead Author for an Abstract Submission
The submitting lead author for an abstract submission left their organization. The organization has asked me to make one o the abstract submission's co-authors the lead author. Is there a way to do this in Abstract Management? I see in the Submissions section that I can edit pretty much everything for a submission EXCEPT the lead author's email (which was a personal email rather than their work email). I also found where I can delete the lead author, but that will delete the abstract submission as well.
Any guidance on the best practice for how to handle this type of issue is greatly appreciated.
