This is my first time in charge of doing the App for an event for my company. I'm working on an event and all of the documents that I have uploaded in the Sessions are not viewable on the desktop version of the App. I get this message: "Securely access documents from the mobile app on iOS or Android."

Now, my company has done meetings in the past and used CrowdCompass, and they were able to make the documents show up on a desktop. Is there a security feature that I may have accidentally selected or are all documents only viewable via the actual phone app and not the desktop?

I've attached a picture of the message that shows up on my desktop version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Alyssa,

I never received quite the same error message, however I do know that session documents are only visible to somebody who has added the session to their schedule - so for example if your sessions are all built as optional, attendees will have to add them to their schedule to access the documents.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Alyssa,
Are they showing up in the mobile app? It makes no sense that they wouldn't show up on a desktop, so perhaps it's a security setting? I think I would jump into a tech support chat to see if they can help you figure it out - it's probably some obscure setting.

    Hi Alyssa,

    Hope you are doing well.

In July 2020, we did come out with a new security feature that allows you to control if an attendee is able to share the documents via the CrowdCompass app. The setting is "Enable Document Sharing". If you disable document sharing, documents cannot be shared outside of the app and they won't appear on the Online Event Guide. So this is what seems to be happening in your case. The setting can be found under the Social Sharing section within Event Settings. Please also do check the Community Article "Configure Event Settings" for more information.

    Hope this helps.
