  • 1.  Delete Portal and Clients

    I have a two part question.

    1) how do I delete old no used portals?

    2) for portals that are in use, but the user has left the company and has been replaced by a new person, how do I remove that old user's name and access?

    I just am not seeing a way to do this.

    Hi Peter,

    Great questions! Here's how you can manage old and active portals in Cvent:

    1) Deleting Old, Unused Portals

    If the portal is no longer needed, you typically can't delete it outright, but you can deactivate it to remove access. To do this:

    • Navigate to Access Portals in the Admin section of your Cvent account.
    • Click on the portal you want to remove.
    • Edit >> Deactivate.

    2) Updating Portals for a New User

    If a portal is still in use but the assigned user has left the company:

    • Go to Admin > Access Portal > Portal Users
    • Locate the old user and Delete.
    • Click Create Portal User, enter the new user’s email, and assign the necessary permissions.
