Happy Monday! I hope you are ready for our next Huddle of the Week!

Are you looking for ways to make your events profitable? Event monetization is the key to generating revenue and recouping costs. By understanding your audience's needs and behaviors, you can maximize revenue while providing value to attendees and sponsors. Monetized events offer advantages such as attracting higher-quality attendees, increasing engagement rates, creating a sense of exclusivity, and providing a new source of income.

So, how can you monetize your events? Here are some tips and strategies:

    1. Pre-event Monetization: Before the event, outline a clear strategy, identify revenue streams, and set measurable objectives. Utilize social media, pre-event surveys, contests, and email campaigns to expand reach and engagement.
    2. During Event Monetization: During the event, consider different paths to monetization. This includes ticket sales, tiered ticketing, early bird discounts, and coupon codes. Sponsorships are also a major source of profit, offering speaking opportunities and various tiers of publicity.
    3. Merchandise Sales: Make your event profitable through event merchandising. Sell branded merchandise and use swag giveaways to increase engagement and brand awareness.
    4. Advertisements: Fill up your event space and generate additional revenue through commercial ad slots. Selling ad space applies to both in-person and virtual events.
    5. Mobile Event Apps: Create event apps that provide information and updates to attendees. These apps can also serve as a platform for advertisements and sponsor details.

After the event, evaluate the success of your monetization strategies by collecting feedback, analyzing sales data, and assessing sponsor satisfaction. Learn from your experiences to refine future event monetization plans.

    2. How do you think event monetization can benefit both attendees and organizers?  added revenue can be directed to enhanced onsite experience, including opportunities to expand budgets lines like speakers and or off sites for incentives, can make a big impact to elevate the overall event.

We don't monetize any of our events but we do participate in a lot and finding ways to integrate our brand into sponsorships has always been a good one for us
(we're a tech company so any chance to sponsor wifi, mobile app or other area that plays into what we do). It cna benefit everyone because it gives the organizers more money to make an even better event and/or reduce their overall costs, normally the sponsorship of things like wifi or mobile app gives added benefits to attendees of having access to something they otherwise might not have had or had to pay for, and gives us a chance to get our names and brand out there at the forefront of people's minds.
