When customising the website in Flex, our Event Planners are unable to edit headers and footers but Administrators can. Event Planners are also unable to edit Event descriptions e.g. change font size. How can I arrange to give this access please.

Are you using a user role to configure your event planners permissions? If so, I would recommend checking some of the settings under the event tab in Admin > Manage Users > User Roles > Event Planner role. For example: the ability to edit the header and footer should be controlled by the "Website Layout" permission under the event tab of the user role and the ability to change the event description should be controlled by the "Event Planning & Administration" permission. Hovering the help text beside the permission name can be helpful to get a better idea of what that permission controls (see below):
