Building and managing event email campaigns efficiently isn't just about templates - it's also about quickly handling recipient lists, contact data, and deliverability. A single restriction typo, a stale CC field, or an email quietly landing in a Promotions tab can cost hours of troubleshooting later.
The pattern Community members keep landing on: get the routine pieces - domain restrictions, contact lists, deliverability checks - configured correctly once, then spend your effort only on what genuinely differs from send to send. It reduces rework, avoids last-minute scrambles, and frees up time for the decisions that actually need your attention.
1. Paste, Don't Type, Your Email Domain Restrictions
Rather than manually typing each domain into a registration path's email restriction settings, prep the full list in Excel or Notepad, then paste it directly. Go to Registration → Registration Paths → select the path → Settings tab → "Limit registration by IP address or email domain" → "Only allowing the following email domains," and paste domains in a comma-separated list (e.g., example.com, company.org, university.edu). One paste action beats dozens of manual entries.

2. Bulk-Clear CC Email Fields With an Import, Not One-by-One
To remove a CC email address across many contacts at once: export your contact list with the CC Email Address column from the Address Book, clear the values in that column in the exported file, then re-import using the "update existing contacts" option. It clears the field in bulk instead of opening each contact record individually.

3. Troubleshoot Delivery Before You Extend Registration
Before assuming that a low response rate means your invite list is bad, check where the emails are actually landing. Gmail often routes Cvent emails to the Promotional tab rather than Spam, and for internal company sends, getting the Cvent sending IP whitelisted with IT can prevent firewall filtering. Also worth checking: whether your subject line is triggering spam filters. A quick deliverability check can save you from unnecessarily extending registration windows.

Small habits like these - pasting instead of typing, importing instead of clicking through one contact at a time, checking deliverability before assuming the worst - add up to far less friction during a busy event season.
