  • 1.  I need to pitch getting On Arrival Premium and the Attendee Hub to my boss...what are the pros of both?

Hello! I'm in the process of creating a pitch for adding the Attendee Hub and OnArrival Premium to our contract. I'm interested to learn what the benefits are of these features and how organizations/businesses have used them for past events. For context, I work in higher education, and we will be using these features for our annual alumni reunion. Thank you!

    Hi Jillian!

Great question. The primary capabilities of OnArrival for alumni are making it quick and easy for them to check in at the reunion, process payments, and control access. The process also represents your brand. So, while you're saving time by not pre-printing badges and manually sorting them on a table, alumni are greeted with a professional, branded kiosk, and can make any necessary adjustments and print their name badges quickly!

As for Attendee Hub, it is a great way for alumni to get excited about the reunion before it happens. Browsing attendee lists and 1-1 messaging will ensure your attendees can find each other and connect. You can also post old photos, feature speakers, and event notices to build buzz before the event starts. And once the event is underway, Attendee Hub really shines in its ability to keep the program on track and attendees informed. Interactive maps, agenda building, and push notifications are tools you'll have to ensure that your attendees know what to expect and how to get there. Your attendees will have lots of chances to participate in sessions with polling and Q&A, as well as share their photos on a social feed.  After the event is over, you can post recap videos, interviews, and even session recordings so that your attendees relive the event and catch up on anything (or anyone) they missed at the event. You'll essentially be delivering personalized journeys to all your attendees.

Both OnArrrival and Attendee Hub help you manage large groups of attendees efficiently while ensuring that they leave your events with meaningful and lasting impressions.

    Hello Jillian,

While the initial investment might seem high for OnArrival Premium, the automation and real-time data capabilities can lead to substantial savings in staff hours, reduce errors associated with manual processes, and provide valuable data for future event planning, making it a cost-effective solution over time. That may sound a more of a business proposal, but having the ability to update an attendee's name tag on-site is invaluable. Plus if you purchase an Event In The Box, that can be used for as many events as need.

Think of the time savings. All the time of printing badges pre-hand, stuffing those in a holder, organizing them, looking for the attendee's name tag at check-in, and handing it to your attendees compared to the attendee just walking up giving their name or self-check in and the badge prints within 2-3 seconds. What if the attendee needs a change on their name tag? What about Walk-ins? Updating on-site is "white glove" service for your attendee.

Kerry made some excellent points about representing your brand and process payments as well.

    Hi Jillian,

People gave plenty of good responses already. I will add that, for the Attendee Hub/Event App, adoption by attendees will really drive how impactful it is, from a gimmick that just allows those who really want to plan their schedule a bit better, to a truly useful and interactive way to support networking.

As for OnArrival, it's amazing for the reasons already listed, but one thing I partocularly like about it is that yu can enable attendees to do changes to their badges when they check in, before it gets printed. Allows those who made typos in their own names when registering, or have changed titles since registering, to have the right badge printed from the get go, rather than having to go to a help desk to get it reprinted.

    Hope this helps!
