  • 1.  Invoices - pay online

    Is there a way to allow a registrant to pay an invoice online? I can generate an invoice to send by email, but can't find a way to put in a link that would take them back to the registration process and accept an online payment, if they weren't able to pay with a credit card when submitting the initial registration.

    I use a Balance Due email.

    Please {[E-MY REG LINK]} here to return to your registration and pay. You will need your Confirmation Number: {[C-CONFIRMATION NUM]}
    Scroll down to Submit Payment button.

    Be sure you have the submit Payment widget on the confirmation page.

    Thanks, this seems to mostly work - But when I set up the confirmation page to include the "Submit Payment" widget and save and publish it, then sent out that email, I am now getting replies that the button isn't available when they click on the {[E-MY REG LINK]}. I sent a test email yesterday and it appeared to work correctly, so scheduled it to send out this morning. Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

    Yes. I think I found the issue- the registration type was tied to more than one registration path and I had not updated all of the confirmation pages. Once I did that, it functioned as expected. In testing it, I had just gone to the generic cvent test page so hadn't identified that issue.

    HI there!

    How would you go about getting someone to update their card for payment? Have you ever done this? If they registered with a card, I charged the card post reg, it failed, i tried again and it failed and now they want a link to "submit payment". I don't believe cvent offers this...
