  • 1.  Managing registration capacities for an organization

I am trying to set up a portal at our upcoming conference for a specific group of people that allows them to register for free. We only want to allow up to 2 people per organization the ability to register through this portal. We know the names of the organizations that will be invited to this portal, but we do not know which 2 people within their organization they will select to send, so utilizing an invitation list will not work. Ideally, there would be a dropdown present with a list of the 200 organizations we will be inviting, and each org name can only be selected twice before someone can no longer select it, but I'm open to other suggestions. What would be the best way to go about ensuring only 2 people from each organization register without having to manually monitor the registrations on an ongoing basis?

We can't set up org name selection as registration types, admission items, or sessions because we are already utilizing those in a different way within registration.  Optional items seems like it could potentially work, but there is no bulk upload option for these and I have nearly 200 organizations that would need to be manually set up and would take me hours. Org names as voucher codes seem risky because it only allows for open ended input, and voucher codes are notoriously finicky with capacities as they tend to show as "used" even though someone has an abandoned registration. Each registration path allows me to limit by email domain, but it won't let me set a capacity for each domain. Are there any other suggestions anyone can think of that will allow me to set a capacity limit for each organization/entity?

    Hi Erin,

In this case, we can utilize Voucher Codes. Voucher codes can act as event passcodes with capacities to help you manage the number of registrants for each organization. You can create the voucher codes to be the company names, and allow people to enter in their company name into the voucher code field. Once it has hit its capacity, the code (or organization name) will no longer work!
