Thank you both for the feedback! We will connect with our account team on this.
Rebecca, our idea for having the registration email only on the attendee record should alleviate the chance of override on the person account. But we will confirm this with our cvent account folks.
Thanks again!

Subject: Mapping fields into attendee object in Salesforce
Hi Eden -
In addition to what Carl has mentioned above, I would also caution you to think about whether you want to bring that registration email address back into Salesforce and have it potentially override the email in the contact record. As an example, if an attendee accidentally registers for that one event using their @gmail account instead of their business email address, you don't want that @gmail account getting saved in their business contact record and disturbing the reliability of your Salesforce contact records.
Hope this helps!

Hi Eden,
This should be the case by default and has no way to configure in the UI. I'd suggest reaching out to your account team to create a case with Integration Support so Cvent may have a dedicated resource look into the behaviour you're experiencing.

Hi Carl,
Thank you for the response, unfortunately this has not been our experience. If what you are saying is standard functionality, how can we enable the email field on the attendee object to hold the registration email instead of the primary email from the person account?

Hi Eden,
The preexisting email field on the attendee object is always the email that the person account registered with. There should be no further configuration required.

We are currently using the Cvent Salesforce app to view registrations and event information in Salesforce. Our attendee records show the primary email related to the matched person account record. Those person account records have two email fields, a primary email and other email. Our matching criteria is set up to check both email fields to fins a match. How can we bring over the email a person used during their registration from Cvent (the field could be called registration email) into the attendee object in Salesforce? We don't need this field to exist anywhere other than on the attendee record, but I don't see any place you can specify this.
