Yes, exactly. Consider timing them around the all attendee schedule. After that, consider targeted audiences for specific agenda items or notifications. I think the golden rule of thumb for an all day event is 5-6 universal notifications.
But the rule of thumb is just that, and doesn't fit all programs.

How many mobile app notifications is too many?
We typically have notifications for all our "sponsored sessions" yet with other event notifications, this has been perceived by some to be excessive notifications and some may be "tuning out". How many mobile app notifications does your company send out on a busy event day? Do you make an effort to spread the general notifications out over the day?
