  • 1.  One Registration with 2 Attendee Hubs?

    Posted 09-22-2022 09:51
We have an event where we want one registration but because we are running the exact same sessions in the exact order but in two regions of the world on the same day, we want to have 2 attendee hubs.  Is this possible?

    Hi Renee,

    Hope you are well!

This is in regards to your query for running same sessions in the exact order but in two regions of the world on the same day.

We can create two similar sessions for two regions and then use visibility settings in attendee hub to allow attendees to view their region sessions. Using two attendee hub is currently not possible.

We can also use external platform for the sessions and need to update/check certain video settings. That will also depend on whether you're using Brightcove, Vimeo, another third-party conferencing provider, a third-party video streaming tool, or even a third-party video player for a live stream or pre-recorded session.

I understand we cannot have 2 attendee hubs for one event. From reading your response and the community entries it looks like we can turn the time zone (of the event created in Cvent) off so it is not visible. Once turned off will both the event site and attendee hub show the sessions in that registrants time zone?

    Hi Renee,

    Hope you are well!

You can turn off the time zone for the event website as you have mentioned. But, event website will not reflect the time in attendee's time zone if this setting is off. You can choose to display the time zone setting on the event website for the ease of attendees.

However, for attendee hub the sessions always reflect the time zone as per the viewer's/attendee's device time zone. For e.g. if your event is created and scheduled for EST time zone and one of the sessions time is 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM EST. For someone who is viewing the same session schedule in PST (given their device time is set as PST) the attendee hub will reflect the time as 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM PST.

The attendees can change the 'Language and time' setting in the attendee hub, by going to my profile icon > Settings > Language and time > Select your time zone preference. By default this setting is 'My device's time zone'.
