I was in the exact same situation as Chris when I tried to create popups. They ended up looking more like accordions because they only opened within the code widget sections. So, I've been using accordions instead of popups.

Hi Natalia, I did this with some success. You need to have the Cvent team activate the code widget on your account (I did this via chat and it only took a few minutes).
There is one drawback. When you place the code widget on your page and add some pop-up code to it, it will only pop-up in the section where the widget was placed. For me, it wasn't quite the right solution. I have lots of sections on my website pages, usually because I alternate between 1-and-2 columns for design reasons. So, I'll often have 6-8 sections on a page. When I place the code widget in one of those sections, the pop-up will only open in that one small section. The code in the code widget cannot affect the larger page, on a section.
I wanted to do the same thing. I had a small photo and I wanted users to be able to click on it to be large and centered (a Lightbox), but I ended up abandoning the idea. If you get it to work by popping up a photo that is larger than the section, please post!

Hi,
I'm trying to see if I can create pop-ups in the event website - so people can click on a picture and have an info box pop up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!
