  • 1.  Refund and Cancellation Policy

    Posted 10-08-2024 16:25

We're looking to gather insights from our community regarding refund and cancellation policies.

We currently set up our event to use admission items and optional sessions.  A registrant can select 1 - 3 courses between Spring and Fall dates.  We need to create a cancellation/refund policy based on the start of the session dates which has no fee.  What is the best way to set this up, so the percentages are applied correctly.

We need the cancellation/refund set at the session level based on the start date. (See photo below)

Given the seasonal nature of our courses, which begin in both the Fall and Spring semesters, we find it challenging to create a fixed refund schedule based on specific dates. How do your institutions handle this?

Additionally, we believe that if a participant cancels well in advance-say, three weeks before the course-imposing a fixed fee seems unfair. What approaches do you take to ensure a fair cancellation policy?

Concerning the cancellation policy: it should also be possible to cancell as event planer without fees... for any special conditions. Now it is so that when I configure the cancellation fees, and I want to cancell a booking without cancelaation fees, I always have to delete the fees first and then cancell, and when you are in hury... you often forget to do it:-)
