Self Identifying as Supporter/Prospective Supporter

  • 1.  Self Identifying as Supporter/Prospective Supporter

Hi All - My organization is a Supporter based organization, and for our events we ask them to self-identify as a Supporter or Prospective Supporter. The registrants are often confused to whether they are a Supporter or not because its their company that is the Supporter, not them individually. This messes up our reporting (and sometimes pricing) when they select the wrong one.

People register themselves, and we don't do an invite list as the events are open to anyone, Supporter or not. When they get to the Supporter question there is text that says they should check if their company is a Supporter if they're unsure, and a link to our list of Supporters. But that doesn't catch many people.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to update our process so there are less incorrect entries? We have also tried to limit domains or only permit certain domains but there were too many and it was slowing down the system.
