Hi. Posting to see if any Cvent clients have solved an issue with their SSO SAML for attendee registration.
It works fine the first time attendees use it. All the values passed to Cvent in the SSO SAML are set correctly in the attendee's new Address Book entry. But in subsequent logins the empty SAML elements are ignored, so Address Book fields that have become empty aren't updated. Here's an example:
During the first registration the attendee uses Address 1 and Address 2. But in their second registration they've changed their address and no longer use Address 2. Because Address 2 now has no value, that element in the SAML is empty and ignored by Cvent. The Address 2 data from the previous address stays in their Address Book entry forever.
That's an address example, but it works this way with every empty field passed via SSO (name, contact type, etc.) Values that changed to empty can't be cleared during login.
Cvent doesn't consider this a bug so we're curious about any workarounds SSO clients have found.
One workaround we can't use: passing a string of blanks for the empty fields.
