  • 1.  Uploading Email Domain List

    Hello,

I would like to ask if there is a way that I can upload a email domain list that will direct the attendees to the correct registration path or do I have to manually type in the email domains?

    Hi Catrina,

There isn't currently a way to upload a file of email domains into Cvent. However, you don't need to type them manually one by one either. Instead, you can copy and paste a list of email domains into the field.

    Here's how:

    1. Go to Registration β†’ Registration Paths.

    2. Select the path you want to edit.

    3. Click on the Settings tab.

    4. Under "Limit registration by IP address or email domain", select "Only allowing the following email domains".

    5. Paste your email domains in this format: example.com, company.org, university.edu

You can prepare the list in Excel or Notepad beforehand and paste the entire list in one go.

    Hope that helps!

    Hello,

What if I have 1200+ email domains to account for?

    Hi Marcus,

1,200+ domains should be fine. There is currently no enforced maximum number of email domains you can add to the registration path field. You can paste them as one comma-separated list, using only the domains, with no spaces or quotation marks, for example: example.com,company.org,university.edu.

If you encounter an error, double-check the formatting, then apply, save, and publish the changes.

    Thanks,

    Julianna

Thank you for confirming that. I was hoping so needed to make sure before we put in the effort. πŸ‘
