I sent through an invite list and I have someone showing as No Response, but they said they registered.  Why would this happen?

    Hi Jennifer,

There are a few reasons why an invitee may still show as "No Response" even if they claim to have registered:

    1. Different Email Used – If the registrant used a different email address than the one on the invite list, Cvent will not match their registration to the original invite. You can check their registration details in the Registrant List under the "Email" column.

    2. Duplicate Record – Sometimes, an invitee might accidentally create a new registration instead of using the invitation link sent to them. This can lead to a duplicate entry where one remains as "No Response" while the other is registered separately.

    3. Pending or Incomplete Registration – If the registrant did not complete all required steps (e.g., missed a mandatory field or did not submit the final confirmation), their status may not update from "No Response" to "Registered."

    4. Email Tracking Issues – If the registration was completed on a different device or browser than the one used to open the invite, tracking may not link the two records properly.

    5. Delayed Data Sync – In rare cases, there might be a delay in updating the registration status due to system processing. Checking back after some time or refreshing the report may help.

Please contact me if you need any assistance on anything with your event in Cvent.

We run into this on a regular basis... typically it's a case of them getting to the Registration Summary screen and thinking they are done so they don't actually click the "submit" button.  If you go to your abandoned registrations you can see what the last screen was that they completed.  We have made it a best practice to put a "warning message" of sorts at the top of the Registration Summary page that calls out that they are not finished and still need to submit at the bottom of the page
