Hi Mary,
Those statuses are triggered by actions, not manually changed by the client. Depending on the status the RFP is in (based on the action you have taken) Draft, Active, Cancelled, Awarded -- the status will change accordingly. When you go into the "Manage RFPs" tabs, you will be able to see the "Status" column as well as when you click into the RFP itself.
