Have you ever embedded a video into an invitation and/or on a website page in Cvent?

Basically, we are trying to have the video display, so that you click right on the video and not have it link/open to a new window.

    Thanks!

    Hi Renee,

Here's an example of one we created recently. It's under the "chasing grace project" tab at the top is this what you're looking for? click here

If so, then whenver you are creating your event website under the "website & registration" tab whichever page you are looking to add the video in you would create a section and add the "video" widget from the right side build items and drag it to the section you want it in.

Once there you enter the URL where the video is coming from in the "Video URL" section, then save and public.

I'd be happy to help with a walkthrough if you need additional assistance!

    Hi Grace -

Unfortunately you can't embed a video into an email but you can on the website. You can embed a still-frame image onto your email invitation and then hyperlink it out to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

Here are instructions on embedding videos:

    Classic: Embedding a Vimeo Video

    Classic: Embedding a YouTube Video

    Flex: Embedding Videos

    Hi all,

I also wanted to add onto this chain and inform you that Cvent had a recent release this week where you can display live stream videos from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Vimeo on your post registration pages using the Video widget in Flex events if you are going this route for any of your virtual event offerings coming up. These articles will provide more information:

What are the limitations for live stream videos?
