  • 1.  Can you block certain email accounts from registering for your event?

    Hi! We always have folks register with Yahoo or Gmail email addresses for our event which we are hoping to block. Is this a possibility when building out the Flex registration page/process? We are trying to steer our customers to register with their actual company email address instead. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jamie,

    I do it at the Registration Path level to prevent our coworkers from registering under the customer reg path. 

    1.  Open the Edit Registration Path settings by clicking on the wheel/gear next the the Reg Path name in the Site Designer.  
    2.  Scroll down to "Limit Registration By"
    3.  Click in the radio button for "Blocking the following email domains"
    4.  Enter the domains you want to block in the "Blocked Email Domains" text box.  Separate multiple domains with a comma.

    Hi! Yes, we block all personal email addresses from registering for our event. Within your Flex event under Website & Registration>Registration Process and click on the Open Site Designer button. In the top left corner, click on the drop down and scroll down to Registration Paths. Click on the gear icon next to the registration path which will open up the Edit Registration Path screen, scroll down to the Privacy Setting and slide the Limit registration by IP address or email domain and then click the Blocking the following email domains and then enter in the personal email addresses (i.e., yahoo.com,gmail.com,aol.com,outlook.com, etc.). Then you should be all set.

    You can specify an exact domain that's allowed.

    Within your Flex event under Website & Registration>Registration Process and click on the Open Site Designer button. In the top left corner, click on the drop down and scroll down to Registration Paths. Click on the gear icon next to the registration path which will open up the Edit Registration Path screen, scroll down to the Privacy Setting and slide the Limit registration by IP address or email domain and then click the Only allowing the following email domains, and then enter in the email domain for your company, i.e., "companyname.com."  That will prevent ANY other email addresses from being used during registration.
