  • 1.  Duplicating content/pages across events

    Posted 11-03-2021 11:47
Hi Cvent community, does anyone have any tips for duplicating content or pages between live events? We often need to make updates to content in multiple live events and at the moment we are just copying and pasting into each event. We do use templates but sometimes events have already launched. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi @Martine Southard,

Yes, there is a "Follow" star button at the top right of the page you can click to see all responses :). Welcome to the community!

I've scoured the page and don't find a Star anywhere. Where is this magical button? Is there a setting somewhere I need to adjust?

Took me awhile to find data tags in the NEw Experience.

    Hi Gemma-

I would suggest using the account level data-tags for content that would be the same and periodically is updated across events. I am not sure how much formatting you do when you are copying and pasting, but here is where you need to go to set one up:

Admin Account General Custom Data Tags

Once you are there, click on the Create Custom Tag button in the right hand corner of the section. You can do either a simple text or a content block. The Simple Text doesn't contain any formatting. The Content Block allows for HTML formatting--but you need to make sure that when these are placed in a FLEX event that the data-tag is displayed correctly. I would place it in your templates and maybe in a live event to make sure that it look right.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Lindsay, I've never thought of using the data tags for content. We do have a lot of formatting but it will still make changes much easier to make. Thanks for your help!
