Can I email certificates to attendees?

We have a virtual event that provides an attendance certificate at the end. Can I email that certificate to attendees?

Hester - Yes, you can set up a certificate and then schedule an email to go out to attendees at the end of the event with a link to download it. Here are the instructions: https://support.cvent.com/apex/CommunityArticle?id=000028884

Hi Krysten - I'm trying to have the same outcome, but want to come at it from the Surveys (New) side. I've designed my survey and my certificate. I've provided the certificate link in my Thank You page on the survey, but would really like for attendees/respondents to be able to email their certificates to themselves instead of making them print or save their PDFs. Or provide all three functions as options. Do you have any tips on that?

    Thanks in advance!
    Kym

    Hi Kimberly,

You could create an automatic, post-event email that's triggered when attendees complete all surveys, and have the link to the certificate in that email. I think that would serve a similar purpose to what you are trying to do!

    Cheers,

We have also successfully used the method of the email with the certificate attached that we send out after surveys are completed. And oUr certificate contains the transcripts of all sessions completed.

    Morning,
I'll be following to see if you get this to work.  I found Certificates too hard to work with within the Badge and Certificate function.  I gave up and sent my certificates in a separate email.  Not ideal, had to make the certificate generic and not personalized like I wanted.  Good luck!

Thank you for this feedback. I was successful using the steps outlined.

I know I am not good with data tags, primarily because I was unfamiliar with what purpose they served, so I probably ended up with added steps. But we sent certificate emails with the link embedded to 1200+ people last week. Thank you for your help.

We do this every year for our annual conference.  We create a certificate that imports a credit transcript of the sessions they attended at our event.  Then we send a link to the certificate in an email to all attendees after the event ends.

The instructions Krysten sent walk you through that process we have used.

    Good luck!

    Hi Amy,

What data tag do you use to import a credit transcript on the certificate?

Eva - In the badge designer, you will find the related tags under "Data Tags," then all the way at the bottom, "Credits." There are a few different options to choose from. Make sure that your event/sessions have credits assigned to them; otherwise, it'll just render a 0.

    Hello,

We are fully working in Cvent for the first time for summer 2021 and wondered how you handle certificates for participants who don't attend all hours of the institute. Their certificate looks the same as someone who attended the entire institute?

    Thanks for any advice,
