  • 1.  Integration with Concur Meetings

    We have integrated with Concur for travel bookings when registering with the event.  The problem we are having is that when clicking on the link in Cvent causes the traveler to have a duplicate Concur profile.  Anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hi Lisa - 

    Not sure but it sounds like it might be a syncing issue or something weird with the mapping of your data fields.  You'll probably want to reach out to whomever set up your integration to have them check it.

    Thank you Rebecca.  I've been told it's a known issue by some and 'never heard of that' from others. Support hasn't been able to resolve so I'll circle back to the integration team as  you suggested.

    Hi Lisa,

    We just spent about 6 months fixing our Concur integration after it stopped working. A couple questions for you. When accessing Concur normally outside of Cvent, does your company use SSO? If yes, is the field your using in the Cvent>Concur integration the SAME as your Concur login ID (i.e. is your email address your concur login ID and is that what you have selected as the mapping field under Integration > Concur within the event in Cvent?

    Hi Lisa, 

    I have seen this issue pop up a lot with the cvent / concur integration. When you look into concur to see the profiles being created, does the login ID match exactly on the duplicated profiles? Or just their name? It sounds like you have guest creation allowed on concur, meaning profiles can be created from cvent into concur, rather than blocking guests and only allowing 100% matched profiles.

    Yes, this is exactly what's happening and we do have Guest booking configured.  I really appreciate the feedback and now we understand why this is happening so we can look at avoiding in the future.
