    Hello,

Cvent Connect was an interesting experience! It's a bit different being on the attendee side of a virtual experience.
One thing that we are looking at implementing is increasing our ability to have interactive sessions. We put on a number of webinars, but now we are looking at small group workshops, which is harder to move to virtual. Taking advantage of some advanced features of our video system such as polls, Q&A, chat, feedback, raise hand, collaborative whiteboard will be key.

If you only watch one session, watch the Tuesday Fireside Chat, not just for the content, which is a bit too general, but to observe the production that went into the session: having an MC that is able to smoothly switch between different panelists is crucial, and that intimate conversation feel made for an engaging session despite the fact that it was pre-recorded and so had no interactivity.

I am looking forward to the full-fledged Attendee Hub. I was very disappointed with where it's at right now: the attendee-to-attendee interaction was inexistant, and the interaction with the speakers during the sessions seriously lacking. For a conference that kept preaching that virtual events need to be interactive to retain attendees, it was in itself a bad example! I think the Attendee Hub and matching app are promising, but far from ready.

    Cheers,

    Hi Béline,

I agree with your observation about Virtual Hub. I was expecting a much more robust experience at Cvent CONNECT, thinking that all of Hub's features would be utilized to the fullest to demonstrate the power of what this new platform can do.

I have scheduled a demo of Hub and hope that with the information I provided our Cvent Account Manager regarding our event next summer, we'll be able to see Hub's full potential.

    Kindly,

    Personally I enjoyed the opening.
It left me feeling a bit more at ease with the current situation.  As far as a personal recommendation;I have none.  I would simply suggest that each person pick a weakness and choose an appropriate session to watch.  Finally, we only use CC.

    • What is one thing you are going to implement into your event programming or planning following Cvent CONNECT?
As we return to the 'new' normal and hybrid events we will be focussing a lot on attendee safety.  People, including vendors and sponsors will not attend if they gave fears.
    • If someone only had time to watch one recorded Cvent CONNECT Virtual session, WHICH session would you recommend they watch, and WHY?
I would watch the opening.  Not only was it upbeat and entertaining it provided some good info about where the industry is heading.

    • Which product feature(s) mentioned in the roadmap you are looking forward to?
We only use CC.  So anything related to that.

After attending Cvent Connect 2020 both live and re-visiting the recordings, we are likely to implement the new virtual attendee hub. After working with the new website directly and learning the capabilities and customization available, we found it may be a good fit for our unique progams.

If you only had time for one session and you use mobile apps, such as crowdcompass, I suggest watching Cvent Academy Training: Behind the Scenes of Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub. It explores Cvent's new attendee hub and new mobile app software that is easy to use, customizable, and a great solution for a wide variety of events.

The products I am most excited about are the virtual attendee hub and the new mobile app, as stated above. Both allow for new opportunities and tools to achieve a greater attendee experience. It helps keep all of your information and tools in the same place while allowing cohesive branding and attendee experience across all products and platforms.

I was curious how this event would be pulled off, and have to say that it was great!

As a long-timer coming to Las Vegas, it was a different experience, but loved how you had set it up and how smoothly it went. I will share with our services team how you had set up the virtual event, and we might be able to use that for our annual meeting and share information with our clients.

I have not been able to watch all session yet, but definately Firside chat with Fireside Chat with Mark Jeffries & Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson

I highly recommend Improving Lead Performance and Conversion: The Event Opportunity. Myllisa shared a lot of great information in a short period of time, related to how to manage leads from your events. The bottom line: don't let your event leads die on the vine - create a process!

    Hello!

If you can only watch one session from all of CONNECT I thought the awards presentation was the most inspirational as far as take aways for my own annual conference. I've been seeing so many different variations of awards being handed out during this pandemic but thought that Cvent did an amazing job at keeping it short, sweet and very entertaining - Without taking away any excitement from the winners!

Another key take away is having an MC who can tie all your content together, keep people engaged and still be relevant to the event. Mark Jeffries is so great at all of these things.

As for new products, I am looking forward to seeing more rollouts for the Attendee Hub. As a few others have said here, I was a little disappointed with what we saw of it during CONNECT. There is potential for a great product here and I hope it can be achieved.

    Hi!

Really enjoyed CVENT Connect Virtual! Learned a lot about how to pivot to virtual and got some great ideas to implement for our internal events. Thought the variety of sessions and topics were pertinent.

I'm going to work on our SMMP and try to make real progress this year among our teams as we roll-out Cvent use across our regions. There were some great takeaways for building up your program in the SMMP session.

I highly recommend watching the Product Roadmap. That's always my favorite at the live meeting and it did not disappoint this year with lots of updates coming and explanations of features that are already in play.  I'm most excited about the Source Safely tool since we know that's going to become a massive part of our planning processes going forward.

I just really appreciated being able to see a large-scale event take place in a virtual environment, particularly through the new attendee hub.  As we are all making pivots to this new way of bringing people together, it's been hard to imagine how best to do that....so seeing and experiencing this with Cvent Connect is going to make our own virtual events even better!

    • What is one thing you are going to implement into your event programming or planning following Cvent CONNECT? Answer: the Virtual Attendee Hub! And 360 at that!
    • If someone only had time to watch one recorded Cvent CONNECT Virtual session, WHICH session would you recommend they watch, and WHY? Answer" "The Future is Now: Intro to Virtual Events" because we need to reinvent our THINKING about the WHY and WHAT of events. Cvent and integrated platforms have the HOW, but to get the Attendee Engagement, you need the WHY and WHAT, and this session puts your thinking on that path.
    • Which product feature(s) mentioned in the roadmap you are looking forward to? For the Event Cloud Roadmap, Virtual Session Room with larger video display area and the collapsible engagement panel. Can't wait for the Live Polling feature & its pie charts, emojis, and word clouds! Also am excited about a fully integrated mobile app that allows engagement with the VAH.

    • If someone only had time to watch one recorded Cvent CONNECT Virtual session, WHICH session would you recommend they watch, and WHY?
      • I loved the Fireside Chat with Mark Jeffries & Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson. Arne was amazing to hear from and the session was wonderfully put together. It also applied to just about everyone.
    • Which product feature(s) mentioned in the roadmap you are looking forward to?
      • I am really looking forward to the Attendee Hub. I was hoping that with Cvent connect going virtual there woul dhave been more interactive opportunities between attendees (and even vendors). I was only able to get an appointment with one vendor b/c there were not enough interactive sessions. I would have loved to hear from others in the industry to see what they are doing right now in going virtual with their events.

Very well done, Cvent!  I was apprehensive of such a large virtual event, but you pulled it off.  I work for a DMO so I am absorbing all of the experiences I am having attending virtual events so I can share it with my hoteliers and meeting planners.
