If a programs that has payments is completely cancelled, can you refund the attendees at one time or do you have to touch each individual record?

    Refunding Cancelled Items

Cancelled items with refund policies will automatically be refunded, but, for those without, you'll need to refund them yourself by following the steps below. If they haven't paid, you'll have the option to delete the item from the order altogether.

Wonder if I can create a refund policy after going live?

Yes you can - in your fee's section I believe?

I'm not seeing any automatic cancellations going through for CC payments for an event that was cancelled yesterday though...

Cvent Support advised me a couple days ago that CANCELing the event in Cvent would prompt automatic refunding of any outstanding payments within 24-28 hours.  Having cancelled events afterward, I;'m still not seeing those automatic refunds take place.

I'm beginning to wonder if Refund Policies must be create BEFORE the cancellation, although no mention was made of having to create them beforehand, if at all.

Have you heard any more on this? I have attempted to refund attendees on Friday and it says it failed.. I called the eCommerce team and they said something about with all the cancellations due to COVID19 - they have to check on the backend if the merchant acct has enough $ or something..

Anyone else get a response like this? Or know when this will be fixed?

I can see merchant accounts holding back. We just lost our merchant account. We are a membership organization and they are fearful that will be issuing a lot of refunds in the near future. ChasePaymentTech.
