  • 1.  How have you grown and improved your virtual events?

Hi Cvent Community! Let's kick off the last Huddle of the Week discussion for the month of September. Wow, time keeps flying by.

Virtual events – we know them, we love them, we've learned a lot about them due to the environment we are in. We've discussed this in various ways throughout the year, but it is incredible how much our industry continues to adapt and enhance their virtual experiences for their audiences.

Going into the final months of the year, with many changes still among us, we'd love to hear more on your lessons learned for virtual events.

    • How have you grown and improved your virtual events (since the start of your pivot to virtual)?
    • What is your top takeaway on virtual events thus far?

Let us know your thoughts and experiences! If you have any questions for other users based on their replies, don't hesitate to keep the discussion going below. #HuddleoftheWeek #VoiceIt

    • How have you grown and improved your virtual events (since the start of your pivot to virtual)? Yes, we absolutely have. We've been through a few virtual platforms now and have found solutions to meet our needs.
    • What is your top takeaway on virtual events thus far? Schedule prep calls and testing calls every 2 weeks after the initial start up meeting. It's important everyone is on the same page from the get go!

    • How have you grown and improved your virtual events (since the start of your pivot to virtual)? We've learned what works best to drive engagement and participation. Using technology, keeping content focused and brief, and consistent pre- and post-event communication is critical.

    • What is your top takeaway on virtual events thus far? I don't think they are going anywhere and the technology and delivery enhancements will contnue! The convenience of setup and execution, and the ability for attendees to still engage, learn and have a great experience while staying safe just makes sense. Plus, the cost benefits are huge!

    • We have grown massively, as we started with a very old fashion software and now we are using professional platforms.
    • The top take away for us is that networking is super important and we need to try our best to ensure attendees have a networking environment virtually.

    • How have you grown and improved your virtual events (since the start of your pivot to virtual)? We have gone from doing an event once a year to three times a year, with the potential to do even more. That has tripled our revenue right out of the gate -- we've increased our RoI even more by not having to shell out for in-person costs.
    • What is your top takeaway on virtual events thus far? They have pros and cons just like in-person events, but if you can get a similar experience, they are MUCH cheaper!
