I need to build fields on my event form that have a set format answer - this is similar to a date/time question where you can see the required format in grey in the blank box but I cannot see how to configure this.

Any help gratefully appreciated - I need a box that only accepts data that looks like this:

ABC-1234567-12

I've always struggled with that.
Generally I use a custom contact field, export the answers, format and import based on email, first and last name.
Although that only works for invitees, not guests/

But...
I just discovered
Admin >Account >General >Create Answer Format
I never saw that before until today.

Limit answers by:Character type and position
Note: Enter "9" for a number, "A" for a letter, a space for a space, the actual symbol for a symbol, and "?" for any character.

I never saw that before until today.

Thank you, that is genius.  The follow step is then to create a custom field that uses the Answer Format that you have described and you are good to go.

 

This has just saved hours of work for the team.
