Hello all!
I think I may be working harder and not smarter on this situation. In the past, I have created two separate registration links: One for our general attendees and One for our Board Members. The only difference is we add a separate Board Meeting on one of the days that we don't want the general attendees to see. I think instead of having two registration links, I could have one invitation link but separate paths, is that correct? would that be more efficient than what I'm currently doing? Thanks!

That is correct. You can have separate registration paths and separate admission items based on registration type.

Registration paths or registration types?

I use different registration types.
Then custom registration weblinks that selects the reg type.

Yes! Considering your description, since you are limiting a session to a certain group of people, I believe you will want to use different Registration Types. I'm thinking about this some more.

One admission item, 2 reg types.

General

Board

Are you able to set the board members contact type to Board in advance?

Anyone without a contact type will be set to General.

OR

Also assuming the board are already in your contact list, create a custom contact field 'BOARD'. Multiple answers but only use Yes as the answer.

Custom Registration Type Logic
Registrants will be assigned a registration type if Board = Yes
Assign reg type = Board

I use this logic for discount codes of board members or staff.
