    Is it possible to default the question to Yes?

    In the past we made the attendee list public. NO ONE has ever complained about it. It helps promote the event.
    If I don't ask whether they want to opt in, will the attendee list even show up?

    With it defaulted to No, few people will select Yes.

    Steven,

    Yes, this is possible!

    You need to click on the gear icon next to the Registration Path and then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the pop-out menu to find it:

    You want to select the radio button for "Automatically add registrants to the list." 

    Remember to repeat this process for other Registration Paths if necessary for your event.

    Perfect! I haven't paying attention to the reg path since I only have the default path for this event.
    I can live with the soft error alert.
