    Riddle me this geniuses...

I have an event with the time zone set to: GMT -5 (Eastern).

I want my admission item to open at 9:00 AM Eastern.
Admissions can only be set to open at midnight.

What can I change the time zone to offset the 9 hours? GMT +4?

It looks like there are no time zones that are -9 hours from EST, but there are some that are +15. So, you could use one of those countries' time zones for the *day before* your event... that should get you exactly where you need it to be... if my logic is correct!
Here's where to find a country with a time zone that will work: https://www.timeanddate.com/time/difference/usa/new-york

But the bigger question: is there some reason why it just can't open at midnight? Chances are nobody will be logging on then anyway... and you can even put in your event promotion that registration opens at 9 am EST. You could even delete any that come in before 9 am if you wanted to (or send them an email to tell them they didn't follow the rules!). Then you aren't worrying about having it in a weird time zone.

I'd get complaints opening up at midnight.
Capacity is only 50 and it fills up quickly.
We charge credit cards at checkout.
There will be people refreshing their screen waiting to register.

But I figured it out. :)

    East coast event
    Time Zone: (GMT+10:00) West Pacific
I used the countdown timer to figure it out.

I'll change the timezone back once the admission item is open.
I have a waitlist and a custom report that shows registration time to the second.
I use that report for the conspiracy theorists that tell me they were the first to register.

It was my repeated suggestions to have an admission open at a specific time. Guess I wasn't the only one.
I was excited to see it in flex but disappointed they didn't include the time. Time is being considered.

All of our events open at a specific time. It's always been that way. One event we give registration numbers 1 and up. It becomes bragging rights to some if they have a low number.

It would make too much sense to adjust our event to the software. That is just not how we roll. :)
We will find a way to pound a square peg in a round hole every time.

    Hi Steven,

Per my research, I think GMT+10:00 - West Pacific should work for your needs!

    Thanks!

    Chelsea,
Thanks. I was able to figure it out with trial and error using the countdown timer.
Not only did I need to adjust the time zone to +10, but had to select the
Automatically opens on: 12/5/2019, I day later.
