Hi Linda,
When you said you used Custom Data Tags in Classic, are those the tags that are in the Event (Promotion & Communication > Email > Custom Data Tags) or the ones that are found on the Admin side (Admin > Account > Custom Data Tags)? If it was the former, it could work for you to recreate those tags on the Admin side, as the HTML option is still available there.
You would probably need to create different data tags for your multiple registration pathways, but at least you would have access to that HTML option.

Are we going to have the option of using HTML in the Custom Data Tags in Flex?
We have multiple registration paths that receive different email confirmations. With Classic, we used custom data tags so we only had to enter the information once and then inserted the data tag in each of the emails.
I used a break at the end of each line (CTRL + Enter) so it would look like this:
But when I put it in the email, Cvent removes all of the breaks and it looks like this:
We also used the custom data tags to insert links to documents, etc. and are unable to because it won't allow HTML.
