    Hello,

Our company is considering hosting a virtual event and wanted to see what those of you that have already had a virtual event recommend as far as exhibit/ sponsorship options. Just for context, we are a small non-profit and our market cannot afford high ticket items.

Additionally, are you able to elaborate on what creative ideas you incorporated in order to gauge attendee engagement. I for one am a little skeptical about the virtual booth experience, so curious to hear if any of you had luck bringing value to your virtual exhibitors and sponsors.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Maly,

It's already tough to convince attendee to attend a physical exhibit hall, and doing so in a virtual setting is even harder. I agree with you that the virtual booth experience is not a very successful one for events where the focus isn't on shopping for products or services. One thing that helps is to incentivize attendees with participation points, "door prizes," that kind of thing. If the exhibitors are the ones providing the prizes, that can be a low-cost solutions.
    Other low-cost solutions would include:
    - allow your exhibitors to make a two-minute pitch before or after a session
    - have your exhibitors sponsor networking or game sessions that are attractive to attendees

    Cheers,

Our biggest problem is that we are not able to get the buy in from our vendors. So that being said, we also are having other issues with determining cost for the virtual booths, and quantifying the cost to those vendors.

    Hi Maly,

Keeping our sponsors and exhibitors happy has certainly been the hardest part about going virtual for our organization! We did a lot of brain storming and came up with some pretty creative perks that work in the virtual world. I'm attaching our sponsor packet for you to take a look at some of the things we have offered. Pretty much everything is at no cost to us, we've just made up the values - So you could easily adjust those down to suit a lower budget.

    Good luck!
