Hi I am looking for some advice on what creates an awesome networking experience for an upcoming event on Nov 18th.

We will have a facilitator using the Zoom sessions, what are some good networking activities people have used?

Speed dating, answering questions / challenges together, what else?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

I attended a virtual conference that used breakout rooms effectively as a way to network, share ideas, and brainstorm. Over the course of the 3-day conference they scheduled one of these per day, 1 hour long each. We all met in the main room, then were auto-assigned to breakout rooms to take on whatever the topic/task was that was assigned - example tasks were to answer an industry-related question, brainstorm ideas to tackle an issue, list best practices, etc. Over the course of the hour, we had 3-4 breakouts (5-7 minutes each), and it was a great way to meet new faces and share thoughts. They did ask that we keep cameras on to make the breakouts a little more personal, which would be great for networking.

For just networking, we are having an ice-breaker room.

I participated in a great event where the host company shipped us a box that we were not to open until the event start date. We all gathered via zoom and then the host company utilized the breakout rooms as sort of a speed dating type event. At the conclusion of the speed dating, we were all brought back together to open up the "box/gift" and could openly discuss things as a group.
