    I have had a request to create a QR code to capture leads at a conference we are attending (booth and breakout session).  Has anyone had success with Cvent's tool?  If so, did you connect it to your CRM platform?  Thank you in advance!

    Hi Jen,
    Are you specifically asking about Lead Capture (additional cost), or just QR codes in general? We have done both as a sponsor rather than event planner. In my opinion, Lead Capture is a really great tool if you can justify the cost (or can include it in exhibitor costs...passing it on to the exhibitors). 

    At a recent in-person event in which we were an exhibitor, I created a landing page where people would fill out their name and email address - this landing page is part of our marketing automation software, HubSpot, which feeds into our CRM. Then I created a QR code for that URL, and made a sign for our booth with the QR code on it so that people could scan the QR code. In our case, it was to enter a drawing to win a prize, so that we could capture those leads.

    Do you mind me asking who you use for your CRM?  If it is Salesforce, I am assuming you pay an additional fee for HubSpot?
    Overall, yes - we want to capture business cards (contact information), and we will select "randomly" prize winners that we will follow-up with post-event.

    Hi Jen,
    We used to have Salesforce, but we are now using a home-grown CRM. Of course, HubSpot is its own CRM, so that helps us bridge the gap. Do you know what marketing automation software and CRM you are using? Ultimately, you'll probably need to get your marketing department involved to help you create the landing page and give you access to the list of entries created from the form. It's totally doable... you could even do the whole thing in Google Forms/Sheets if you don't have marketing automation software and/or a marketing team...

    I created a QR Code using QR creator and tied it to a survey, it works perfectly.
