Hello! 

My name is Maly De Jesus and I work for a non-profit in Miami. Due to everything going on with COVID-19 our upcoming conference has been cancelled. Some of our organizational sponsors have benefits tied to the event, but with the cancellation, we are having to come up with creative deliverables that we can offer to make up for the benefits they lost when we cancelled our event. Does anyone have any cool ideas they are implementing with their own sponsors?

Some of the deliverables we had in place were mostly offered via exposure on the crowd compass mobile app, signage that would have been placed at the event, a series of emails that would have gone out every 2 weeks promoting the event with the sponsor logos at the bottom.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Maly,

As a corporate planner, I know one thing we are looking for is ways to get in front of customers throughout the year (and the lifecycle of shelter in place/remote work), so I'd suggest thinking through webinars or other virtual engagement that your sponsors can participate in regarding the state of your industry, what the "new normal" could look like, etc.

Hi Maly, 

One of the things we're doing is Instagram Live videos with our sponsors that are fun and engaging. We are also allowing creating some tailored social and email content related to those sponsors to help them get similar exposure.

Hi Maly,

Some suggestions:

• Offer to send a sponsor email to your distribution list
• Turn your event into multiple webinars, and allow the sponsors to have an informercial at the beginning of the webinar and/or slide placement in the presentation deck
• Offer a discount on next year's event
• Offer an additional sponsor benefit on next year's event
• Could you financially cover a direct mail piece for each sponsor to your distribution list?

Hi Maly!

I'm part of a membership association where our members need to earn CE credits throughout the year. We've noticed that dues to COVID-19, there are stacks of free opportunities for our members to get those credits so I'm going to create a Cvent event where I can list these CE's as sessions and then from their create a mobile app for our members to download and use to access various free CE for as long as this craziness lasts. With an app in consistent use, our sponsors will have plenty of screen time!

I'm not sure if any of this would be useful in your circumstances but I LOVE the app and am glad to have found a new way to use it :)

Hi, Maly! In addition to the suggestions offered, you might be able to transfer some of the spend that you were going to do at the live event (i.e. sponsored happy hour), into a sponsored virtual event for attendees (i.e. a virtual yoga time). I'm loving some of the things that Kapow is offering that could easily translate.

Are you doing this event online?  If so, you could allow the sponsor to have some dedicated time or a dedicated spot on your website.  Maybe an email to be sent out to your contacts?
