Hello all! It's time to kick off the next edition of the Huddle of the Week

The flexibility of being able to attend an event either in-person or virtually has made hybrid events a win-win for both the audience and planner. Now that hybrid events look like they are here to stay, planners are working to identify how much these events should cost so they can price event registration accordingly. However, hosting both virtual and in-person events together doesn't mean that costs are automatically doubled.

With this thought in mind, let's hear from the event professionals and marketers, about:
    • How do you price both the components of a hybrid event – in-person and virtual?
    • How do you prioritize the virtual and in-person event elements while pricing tickets for both?

Let us know your thoughts below! #HuddleoftheWeek #VoiceIt

With this thought in mind, let's hear from the event professionals and marketers, about:
    • How do you price both the components of a hybrid event – in-person and virtual? we treat our events as two separate "full virtual" "full in person" and then figure out what overlaps to reduce cost and what falls outside after we do a step-by-step walk through of every component of the event.
    • How do you prioritize the virtual and in-person event elements while pricing tickets for both? We don't charge for any events we host so its hard for me to answer this one!

    • How do you price both the components of a hybrid event – in-person and virtual? We forecast the cost of each as seperate events. Like Rachel Sigley, we see the overlaping elements of the event and reduce cost by the duplicated efforts.
    • How do you prioritize the virtual and in-person event elements while pricing tickets for both? Most of our events are hosted.

    • How do you price both the components of a hybrid event – in-person and virtual? in-person pricing strategy is the same (factoring in the additional costs), and the virtual component is low enough to drive interest but at a point that covers costs of technology, speakers time, etc. and maintains engagements. We haven't started charging for virtual yet, but should we consider it, we'd probably keep the prices super low to start and drive interest
    • How do you prioritize the virtual and in-person event elements while pricing tickets for both? the goal is to make it meaningful for both types of participants, I imagine you would focus on prioritizing the "high ticket" elements (ex. keynote)

    Hi Ridhima,

Our virtual events are always free, so the value proposition of the in-person event needs to be the more powerful one. I think we can achieve that goal by having hands-on learning, and actual networking, in a way that is difficult if not impossible to mimic online.
