  • 1.  using Data Tags in an Email

    Posted 06-01-2020 10:31
    I created and added Data Tags in a new email using:
    Promo&Communication>Event Emails>Create new email

    Created: General Event Email
    Subject: {[E-TITLE]}{[E-WHEN]}

    Just confirming: Will emails get automatic updates if they're any changes?
    Thanks

    Hi Marjaneh,

    I hope you are well! Yes, if you are using the above Data Tags to populate information such as the Event Title and Event Dates which you enter/update in Event Information, they will automatically update in your emails. Data Tags are an excellent feature and time-saver for this reason. Hope you find them beneficial!

    Best,

    Danni

    Hello! Yes, that is the great thing about data tags. This way if you have data you'll only need to update it in one spot and then it will be updated anywhere you have data tags. Just be sure if you're using data tags across events that if you update it for one event, know it'll update on all events.

    Hopefully maybe this would help: https://support.cvent.com/apex/CommunityArticle?id=000002649&Lang=en_US&searchTerm=data%20tags

    Hi Marjaneh,

    Yes, if you change the Event name or Event Dates this would automatically update on the emails.

    Regards,

    Absolutely! Anything you can use data tags for can save you tons of time! We have added custom data tags to further personalize our invitations, and it is working out really well.

    Yes!  They'll automatically update!  Data tags are the best for this.  Makes it so much easier to make changes and makes for consistency through your emails/website.

    Data tags are great, but limited when it's only plain text. Looking forward to when Flex can use html.
