Hello, Cvent Community! For this edition of Tip of the Week, we wanted to make sure you are aware of the great enhancements made within the #CventSupplierNetwork to guarantee safe sourcing for your in-person events. Our Product team has made vital updates with your feedback and health and safety protocols in mind. We hope you are excited to use these new features while sourcing your venues and planning your future in-person events!
- Cancellation and Turndown Response Reasons: As mentioned in a past Tip of the Week, there are new epidemic and pandemic related reasons for both planners and suppliers to cancel or turn down an RFP. These reasons help you efficiently track the changes occurring with your venues and events.
- Source Safely Resource Hub: If you haven't already seen the new Source Safely microsite, I would highly suggest checking it out. The microsite is the world's largest and most up-to-date database of venue health and safety information within the Cvent Supplier Network. It currently represents over 40,000 venues globally, and continues to expand. Use this hub as your go-to resource for safe sourcing and learning more about venue safety protocols across the globe.
- Safety Protocols on Profile: To work with the new safety microsites, there is now a new section in venue profiles highlighting any safety protocol microsites a venue belongs to from Source Safely. You can then click the Learn More button to be linked directly to the site. Additionally, there are new results tags for venues associated to Source Safely microsites and a new filter to only see venues associated, as well. We hope these great functions will help you assess which is the right destination for you and your event.
- Capacity Calculator with Social Distancing function: Although the room space calculator has existed in the Cvent Supplier Network to allow you to estimate your room capacity based off the meeting room layouts, a new social distancing feature has been implemented at the end of July. This new feature allows you to use the calculator and then check off to "Include social distancing." From there, you are able to input any required distance between two people, whether that be 6 feet or more as needed. Do note, this function works across metric and imperial measures.
- Outdoor Meeting Space Enhancements: We understand you may be opting for outdoor meeting space more than ever before. To accommodate this need in your venue search, a top-level filter has been added for venues with outdoor meeting space. Additionally, there is a new tag in the Meeting Space Grid to designate which spaces are outdoor.
While we understand in-person events will face many changes that we will adapt to, we hope these enhancements will bring value to you while you are sourcing your venues through the Cvent Supplier Network. If you have any additional feedback, we encourage you to share it as an idea within the Ideation tab of the Community – this not only allows other users to up-vote if they agree, but gives our Product team more visibility into what our clients truly need.
