I'm looking for tips on how to create a "day of" reminder email that will create some hype about a virtual meeting.  Any suggestions for wording?

    Hi Kim,

For our day of reminder, on top of a big Attendee Hub button, we highlight the key parts of our program for the day: is there a keynote they should be excited about? A networking session not to miss? A special event like an Award Ceremony? And we remind them at what time the day starts too.

The wording goes something like "XYZ Conference starts at 3 PM today! We're thrilled to have Jane Doe speaks on Topic at our keynote - don't miss it and join us, there will even be dedicated time for Q&A where our speaker will answer your questions." Cue Attendee Hub button :D

    Hoping that might help!

In addition to what Beline mentioned previously, I like to create a trail of unique teasers leading up to the event that weren't released during the registration process.

    • For example, in the one week out email, I'll distribute specific questions that will be asked of attendees in breakout sessions, so that they have plenty of time to think about the topic before the event.
    • Then in the day before email, you can distribute a short video clip of your keynote speaker or some 'behind the scenes' screenshots of online rehearsals - anything that lets people know that there is time and energy being put in to this event, even though it is online.
    • And then the one hour out day-of email reminds them when and how to get online, and offers attendees the ability to join ahead of time for open networking, or tells them specifically when they can log in to wait in the virtual lobby. Offering attendees the option to "Join the Event Site Now" even though the event may not start for another hour has really cut down on the time we're waiting to start the program because people are still logging on precisely when the event begins.
    Hope this helps!

Hello Kim, all reply's so far are great tips!

I would like to add incorporating a fun (call to action) perhaps a roll-call?  Something like a radio station does with "caller #X wins...…".  In your e-mail reminder you could incorporate a confirmation to attend tomorrows Opening Session, registered attendee number #29 wins.......? Something out of the box, to create excitement.
