  • 1.  Error message during registration

    Does anyone know what triggers this error, "It looks like your session timed out. Log back in to continue". ? In some of our events, some (not all) registrants get an error when trying to register for events. All of our events are public and I cannot figure out what triggers this error message.

    That error typically comes up when you leave the page idle. I'm not sure how long the idle time is before the error occurs, but we see that happen as well. It could also happen if you have the registration page open in multiple tabs. In which case, any sessions on older tabs would time out.

    But people registering aren't logging in to cvent to make those registrations....so I'm not sure what is timing out.

    Hi Flora,

    Selina is correct in that for front-end registration through your Cvent events there is a time-out period once you go idle, which can prompt that error message.
