I'm in the process of adding speakers to our event, and curious to know whether the speakers will receive an email notification once they've been added.

Adding them as a speaker to your website will not send them a notification.

If you register them using a speaker registration type and have automated registration confirmation set up then they would.

It is possible to add a speaker to a session, they present the session yet never register for the event. If this is an in-person event that registration is vital for badging etc.

Hi Renee,
The "Speaker" section is not tied to registration at all. It is for informational purposes only to display on your website and/or app. If you want the speaker's information in the registrants section so their information will pull with attendee's for name badges, you'll need to either register them manually or send them a link to register themselves.
