I am getting in a pickle as we have not been asked this before, I want to make the following statement in a proposal but want to be sure this is correct. We are UK based. Any help or suggestions are welcome :)
How do we handle the currencies?
We have a Barclays bank account for delegate fee's, no matter what currency a client pays their delegate fee's in they are converted into UK Stirling before entering our bank account either by BACS transfer, IBAN or credit card payments. The delegate is responsible for the conversion rate element, it will be whatever the rate is at the moment of registration. We will receive all monies in UK Stirling and will pay them out in UK Stirling to the client. If we need to pay the hotel/venue in Europe with these fees then the conversion rate to Euro's or whatever currency they charge us in will be guided by Barclays at time of payment.
