What do you think is most important in a virtual platform to offer a great attendee experience when joining sessions?Ease of use is crucial for our attendees -- the virtual platform should be easy to navigate. Attendees should not have to struggle to find the session(s) they want to attend or to navigate back to the main page to find other sessions.
Which feature listed above do you find the most important? The first two - session enrollment & visibility rules -- are the most important, with visibility rules probably being the most critical. Most of our events require the ability to restrict session access based on registration type, so had enrollment been available in the the Attendee Website without the ability to set visibility rules, it probably would have been unusable for us.
Excited to see all these changes and can't wait until more updates are released!

Subject: Tip of the Week #32: Virtual Attendee Hub - Agenda Features You Need to Know
Hi, Community members! For this edition of Tip of the Week, we wanted to showcase some of the awesome releases in the Virtual Attendee Hub. Quick spoiler – all of the releases we chose to highlight focus on the session and agenda experience within the Attendee Website. We know it is so crucial in a virtual event to provide exciting and engaging content, but if the technology behind it can't back it up, it won't deliver the same value to your attendees. Read on for more detail and ensure your attendees are getting the most out of your virtual event's agenda!
- Session Enrollment in Attendee Website:
- This is a major enhancement that offers your attendees to register (or unregister) from sessions all through the Attendee Website. Now, you can offer flexibility after the initial registration process, and let the attendee customize their own experience when they are really ready to sit down and digest the content.
- As a note, there are also Session Registration messages to prevent an attendee from adding overlapping sessions or not meeting the minimum/maximum limits you had set on the back-end.
- Session Visibility Rules on the Attendee Website:
- We understand it is important to control your agenda for various types or items, and you don't want to cause any extra confusion for your attendees when they are logging in to your virtual event. By adding session visibility based on Admission Items and Registration Types, your attendees will only see the agenda content that is relevant to them and offer a more streamlined experience.
- My Schedule Tab:
- This feature allows the attendee to see only the sessions they are currently registered for (both included and optional) and even the ability to remove sessions from their schedule. This gives a more realistic view to their schedule for the event, separated from the overall agenda on the All Sessions tab. With the balance of work-from-home responsibilities, knowing what's on their schedule will enhance their experience and ensure you have a greater attendance rate.
- Session Dates within Upcoming Sessions:
- The Attendee Website is an engaging and interactive experience during the virtual event, and we expect your attendees to browse through the many pages and details you offer. To stay up to date, the Upcoming Sessions section was added to the home page, and it was enhanced to include session dates along with the times.
- "Live" Indicator for Sponsored Sessions on Exhibitor Pages:
- Offering sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities is still vital in a virtual setting (Check out this recent Huddle of the Week to hear more from your peers) and using Sponsored Sessions is a great feature to enhance their package. To make sure an attendee doesn't miss out when they are learning more about a sponsor or exhibitor on their page, a "Live" indicator has been added next to the Sponsored Session details.
As you can tell, a lot has already been done since we launched this solution at the end of the summer, and you can expect more work and exciting enhancements to come! This only captures one aspect of the virtual event, the agenda and content, but keep in mind the many different offerings and experiences to focus on when preparing for your event. Be sure to share any suggestions for the product as an Idea in the Community, as well - we love to hear from you!
