    Hi Cvent Community,

I wanted to get your thoughts on why someone would want to use CrowdCompass Vs. the Attendee Hub and vice-versa. What do you feel is the biggest difference between CrowdCompass and Attendee Hub?

Do you know when is the sunset date for CrowdCompass?

    Hi,

I am trying to understand the benefit of the Attendee Hub package, as we are not interested in the Attendee Hub virtual experience only the attendee app. We would like to keep the Crowd Compass app as we think it is more user friendly (based on the demos of the Attendee Hub). And I guess there is going to be a more expensive solution having the whole Attendee Hub package and not only the app?

    Kind regards
    Elli

For us, there are two features missing from Attendee Hub that we use regularly on Crowd Compass,

The first is the Social Wall, where we ask attendees to take photos and post there. On out last day, we download all of the photos and do a slideshow during dinner.

The other, and this is a big one, is that you can't have Attendee Hub has a standalone branded app. With CrowdCompass you can have you own app listed in the App Store and Google Play, with you logo and name.

They say both features will be coming soon to Attendee Hub, but we won't switch over until they are there. Hopefully they won't sunset CrowdCompass before then.

Thanks for exploring this Eva! I'm happy to weigh in with insight from the Cvent perspective.

You may want to use CrowdCompass if you have an upcoming in-person event where you know the CrowdCompass functionality is a great fit for what you need. Cvent is investing a lot into the development of Attendee Hub, so be sure to check with your account rep if there's something you like in CrowdCompass that doesn't appear to be available in Attendee Hub yet. CrowdCompass will not be sunset until the end of next year.

As far as why you might want to consider Attendee Hub, here's my take on biggest advantages of Attendee Hub:

    • Attendee Hub includes both a native event app as well as a web-based experience. CrowdCompass does have a web experience (Online Event Guide) as well, but Attendee Hub is purpose-built with features to enhance the virtual, in-person, and hybrid event experience. You'll likely feel that Attendee Hub is the better option, especially for your virtual and hybrid events.
    • Attendee Hub was built as a fully integrated piece of Cvent's Event Marketing & Management platform, so it better utilizes data from other areas of the platform like your event website and registration. Things like sessions, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors from your event will automatically populate in Attendee Hub. You can even publish your Attendee Hub native event app with a click of a button once graphics are added.
    • Cvent is investing heavily to make Attendee Hub the best live engagement solution for events of all types: virtual, in-person, and hybrid. We're pulling from our mobile experience with CrowdCompass (as well as QuickMobile and DoubleDutch), and striving to make Attendee Hub represent the best of those offerings - created, managed, and measured entirely within Cvent's Event Marketing & Management Platform.

Good luck with finding the best solution for you. We're happy to help you as you further explore this.

    Thank you,

    Karl

    Thanks, Karl!

This event is set to occur in 2022. Do you know when the sunset date is for CorwdCompass?

    Hi Elli,

I hope you are doing well! I connected with your account team and they will be reaching out to discuss this further. Your Account Manager is currently out of the office but his colleague will be in touch soon. :)
