Interactive digital wayfinding kiosks

Wondering if you would have any suggested providers for these wayfinders on a rental basis for our annual conference in Vancouver, BC next year? There seems to be a limited number of local companies who do this as most don't do short-term rentals. The one we used this year was a company from Alberta.

Appreciate any recommendations! Thanks in advance.

Spectrio is an awesome company for digital wayfinding technology. They have exactly what you are looking for! You can request a demo on their site: spectrio.com.

Did you ask the venue if they have something in-house that you can rent; or perhaps they have a vendor recommendation?

I would ask for recommendations from the location where the conference is being held.

We have never used anything like that, we have only used the app, . Does the facility have one that you could use or a company they work with?

Not exactly what you're looking for but another idea: We typically use CrowdCompass to post a map for attendees with "hotspots". That way you can link items on the attendees' agenda with the location on the map.

Perhaps if you're using an agency or vendor -- if you could rent touch screens from the venue and find an agency to create the way finder in Intuiface for you? It's a solution we're currently using and you can easily build out content and use on any screen

I always get the best vendor recommendations from my venues, especially when I'm in an area that I don't have a large vendor contact list for. Could you rent touch screen TV's and plug in your computer to sync as a backup option?

HOtels usually have a list of recommended vendors. The rabbit hole may lead you to what will work

My question is: what is the purpose of digital wayfinding tech? Do you truly need it for finding meeting rooms or onsite amenities? Or is a way to engage attendees? Recently Julian Solaris of EventMB mentioned on this video Trend #4, Passive Engagement, which starts at 2:12. Smart Projection Mapping on a table (micro projection mapping). One of the AV sponsors, AV Concepts, at CventCONNECT 2018 had this on display,

Once you know what your reason for wanting digital wayfinding tech is, you can figure out if DWF is truly what you need, or if there is some other engagement or logistics tool that is more affordable and more effective.

Good point @Brenda Ainsburg. Also the suggestions to ask the venue makes the most sense.

It really varies, so the venue is the best place to start.

I have never used wayfinding technology, but I would recommend asking your venue. Best of luck in your search.

    Hi there,

Here are two helpful links we used for our event in Toronto. They provide customs brokers as well as other helpful information for USA planners hosting meetings in Canada.
