  • 1.  Custom Header

We have a default header with a number of different elements, and want to customise it on some pages only with a different image (rest of content remains the same). Is there a way to duplicate the default header and save it as a new custom header for a specific page without having to rebuild it from scratch? Thank you.

    You can't duplicate headers/footers.

It has been suggested. Vote up the ideas.

Once you create your new header, you can select multiple pages at once to use them though.

Thank you Jack - rebuilding each time it is then.

    Hi Lynda,

While you cant duplicate headers and footers entirely, you can short cut it a little.

    1. Create your new header & footer by clicking the + under header and footer.
    2. Go back to your original header and footer and for each section click the duplicate to another page
    3. Find your page group (Header & Footer) and your page (Your new header & footer)

I normally find i have around 3 or so sections. So doing the above on all 3 sections give you a duplicated header and footer you can then modify.

Hi! I also do what Hayley recommends above. The one tip I would add though is for #2 above, when duplicating, start from the bottom when duplicating the sections. That way it will actually create them in the correct order (if there are multiple sections in your header or footer). Hope that makes sense!

YES!!! I always forget to do it that way! Always so annoying trying to rearrange!
